On August 22, 1996, Jakob Wissel entered the world. Wissel was born in Ocala, Florida to German immigrants Ditmar Wissel and Linda Wissel. As a result of his parents' migration to the United States, Wissel was among the first of his generation to realize the promise of the American dream. He owes a lot of his early life to them because they raised him to be a responsible young man who went after his dreams, especially in a different part of the world. This put him in a challenging environment where he would eventually do well.

Jakob Wissel is the youngest of three half brothers, and each of them has been a critical source of inspiration for Jakob throughout his life. The fact that he comes from such a well-established family has instilled in him a feeling of purpose and a sense of obligation to the neighbourhood where he was raised. His parents would eventually sign him up for the Boy Scouts, and he would earn the prestigious title of Eagle Scout in 2012.
